Fehmarnbelt Days 2016 Exhibition

Starting with the official opening, FBD Exhibitors use the forum of the Fehmarnbelt Days 2016 at the HafenCity University Hamburg to present their projects, businesses, initiatives or networks in their own exhibition booths at the Networking Village. Thereby, they will address stakeholders and decision-makers from politics, science and business as well as the interested public.

The Networking Village will be open and spread all over the Eastern Foyer of the HafenCity University during the Opening of the Fehmarnbelt Days on 20 of September between 3.30 pm and 8 pm as well as on 21 and 22 of September 2016 between 9 am and 5.30 pm.

Deutsche Bahn AG, Femern A/S

Deutsche Bahn is tasked by the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure to realize a modern two-track railway connection between Lübeck and the Fehmarnbelt-Fixed-Link at the northern coast of Fehmarn.
Femern A/S is a subsidiary of the Danish, state-owned Sund & Bælt holding A/S, which has experience from the construction of the fixed links across the Great Belt and Øresund. Femern A/S is tasked with the planning, construction and operation of a fixed link between Denmark and Germany across the Fehmarnbelt.

Roskilde University (RUC) is a state university founded in 1972 and has about 9000 students. The characteristic educational principles of Roskilde University are interdisciplinarity, problem-based approaches and group work.
Come and visit us at our booth and learn more about RUC’s engagement in developing the Fehmarnbelt Region, e.g. through innovative cooperation with local companies, Interreg projects and other forms of partnerships.

NORDMUS – a regional cross-border museum network

The NORDMUS-project establishes a regional cross-border museum association that will function as a stable platform for trans-national project development, and it will strengthen the institutional capacity within the field of cultural heritage in the southwestern Baltic Sea area.
NORDMUS aims at making citizens and tourists more aware of the richness of the regional cultural heritage. It stretches over all of the regions geography and represents 53 museums/exhibition places.

Innovation Network Femern Belt

Special attention on innovation in SME’s with focus on large infrastructure projects such as the construction of the Femern tunnel. The Network aims to create permanent innovation, employment and growth for SME’s with interest in the construction of the tunnel thus having special focus on themes such as “smart construction logistics, optimization of resources, and data driven innovation”.
Aim of the Network: · To put forward the needs of the companies as a channel for facilitation between companies, education and knowledge institutions, and public authorities · Particular focus on promotion of new products and services in SME’s · Access to a large subcontracting network · Initiate network and innovation activities close to the construction site.

Projects EMMA, NSB CoRe, Scandria®2Act and TENTacle

Four Interreg Baltic Sea Region (BSR) programme transport projects showcase their objectives and aims. The EMMA project envisages to enhance inland waterway transport, while the projects NSB CoRe, Scandria®2Act and TENTacle focus on the strengthening of transport corridors in the BSR. Their aims are to improve the accessibility and connectivity of regions to the transport corridors, to capitalise on the corridors and to foster sustainable and multimodal transport. Fehmarnbelt Solution Services A/S is a joint venture of Ramirent and Zeppelin Rental, two of Europe’s leading rental service companies. We offer customized one-stop-solutions for the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link. Our range comprises modular space, equipment rental services, maintenance and repair, construction logistics, health and safety management, temporary infrastructure, energy and climate solutions, facility management services, access control, waste management as well as training.

Ramboll’s role in the Fehmarnbelt project is the owner’s engineer in a consortium with Arup and TEC – meaning primary advisor on the entire project and engineering processes for Femern A/S. Ramboll is the lead partner for the consortium and has been working for Femern A/S since April 2009.

GREAT – Green Regions with Alternative Fuels for Transportation

GREAT is an EU Project, initiated by STRING, to upscale decarbonisation of the road transport sector. In a unique partnership between the private and public sector we address one of our biggest climate challenges. GREAT is building 70 fast chargers and three C-LNG stations between Hamburg and Oslo/Stockholm. The result is a reliable infrastructure for alternative fuels and new possibilities for sustainable transports along the corridor. GREAT is also working actively to change attitudes and increase usage of more sustainable fuels.

Tourism Destination Fehmarnbelt

A tourism cooperation between Skane,  Copenhagen, Ostholstein and Hamburg . The aim is to establish a new network with a common target of building and expanding the leisure market in the Fehmarnbelt region as an interesting and innovating tourism corridor with new brands of attractions.  This creates a platform  for valuable learning experiences and preparing common projects like a common website and  thematic routes to attract the inhabitants within the region and the international markets.

Baltic Environmental Forum: NonHazCity

The NonHazCity project has started on 1 March 2016 and will run for 36 months. 18 Partners from 7 countries want to test innovative management solutions for minimizing emissions of hazardous substances from urban areas in the Baltic Sea Region. NonHazCity partner municipalities will develop Chemicals Action Plans – long-term strategic approaches which combine activities at all municipal entities with campaigns to raise the awareness of SMEs and private households.

Under the names Scandlines and Scandlines Helsingør-Helsingborg three short ferry routes are marketed with high capacity and frequency and with a green vision for the future. The core business is to provide an efficient and reliable transport service for both passengers and freight customers. The main focus for all activities in Scandlines is to create value for our customers on board the ferries as well as in the shops of Scandlines.
With more than 90,000 departures on 12 ferries, in 2015 Scandlines transported 15 million passengers, 3.3 million cars, 900,000 freight units and 65,000 busses on the routes Puttgarden-Rødby, Rostock-Gedser and Helsingør-Helsingborg.

Dear potential exhibitor!

As you can see below, we are fully booked now. If you are interested in being present at the networking village, please get back to us so that we can look into further possibilities. We do have the potential to extend the exhibition floor, if a relevant number of potential exhibitors announce their interest.


Fourteen booths ranging in size between 6 and 8 sqm are available in the Eastern Foyer of the HafenCity University on the first floor. Standard booths (Octanorm Standard Exhibition System) including a basic configuration of light and electricity will be provided. Alternatively, poster walls (size: DIN A0) are at the exhibitors’ disposal if a booth is considered to be oversized.

The Exhibition Stage (presentation area for about 35 persons) is located on the same floor.
WLAN is available.

All offers – referring to booths, poster walls and time slots at the exhibition stage – are limited and assigned to interested FBD exhibitors strictly on a “first-come-first-served” basis.
