A forum for interested parties, an open platform – ready for your suggestions!
For three days, the Fehmarnbelt Days provide a broad platform for stakeholders (including the interested public) from all over the emerging Fehmarnbelt Region and beyond to exchange ideas and experiences, to discuss key issues and further cross-border collaboration. We want to develop possible growth opportunities of the emerging Fehmarnbelt Region – seize the possibilities and understand possible obstacles.
The Fehmarnbelt Days deal with key areas such as infrastructure, tourism, business, the labour market, transport and logistics as well as education and research. The Fehmarnbelt Days will also host and be accompanied by a variety of social and cultural events.
In order to adequately represent all interested actors and bodies, we also look for further activity partners who want to strengthen and debate the emerging region as well as its implications under the umbrella of this international conference.
The so-called FBD activity partners use the Fehmarnbelt Days (FBD) to pursue their own activities within the context of the joint FBD forum. This results in an enhanced visibility of their specific activity and extends the sphere of influence beyond the usual target group. Hence, this is the perfect opportunity to obtain the attention of people from different sectors and a varying background.

Starting with the official opening, FBD Exhibitors use the forum of the Fehmarnbelt Days 2016 at the HafenCity University Hamburg to present their projects, businesses, initiatives or networks in their own exhibition booths at the Networking Village. Thereby, they will address stakeholders and decision-makers from politics, science and business as well as the interested public.

The detailed program for the next Fehmarnbelt Days 2016 is still under preparation. It will be an orchestration of a number of different offers ranging from conference, specific thematic seminars or workshops up to excursions into the city of Hamburg or the region. You can get a first glimpse at a draft program here.
Tuesday, 20 September 2016 will be reserved for internal meetings of various groups, before a common opening event with a conference part and a reception will welcome all guests of the Fehmarnbelt Days 2016 in the late afternoon.
Over the next two days, the programme offers a set of different streams. These are arranged around an exhibition in the foyer of the HafenCity University and a joint networking lunch.
14 booths and a set of poster walls are available for exhibitors in the Fehmarnbelt Days Networking Village. They will present their company and projects from sectors such as infrastructure, tourism, transport and logistics, education and research as well as business and the labour market.
Come to see their stands and enjoy a vibrant business matchmaking platform to meet participants from international businesses, high-level professionals and government officials representing the Fehmarnbelt and Baltic Sea Region countries.
The Networking Village will be open and spread all over the Eastern Foyer of the HafenCity University on 21 and 22 of September 2016 between 8 am and 5 pm.
The next Fehmarnbelt Days 2016 at the HafenCity University in Hamburg will take place on 20–22 September 2016.
Join key decision-makers and experts to discuss options, initiatives and projects pushing the future-oriented development of the Fehmarnbelt Region. At this high-level event, we bring together cross-border stakeholders from industry, politics, culture, education, science and public institutions as well as NGOs. This is also a great chance to present your activities to interested stakeholders and the general public in Hamburg.

The Fehmarnbelt Days 2016 will be held at the HafenCity University Hamburg. The main area can easily be reached by taking the metro U4 to station “HafenCity Universität”. Please check your own itinerary on www.hvv.de.
